Booklet Love

Creating this little cutie was big fun.  I cut up a previously-painted and collaged canvas right off its wood frame and ripped the sides for imperfect edges.  One of my best thrift shop finds was an 1800’s ledger filled with teeny tiny writing.  Using a few of its pages, and following some on-line make-your-own-journal instructions, I created this booklet using a large-eyed needle and some burlap twine. When I showed it to my husband, he recalled making such a booklet in grade school…there you go!

Hello artists!

Here’s an example of how wonderful it is to save your drip papers.  This Angel of Individuality is wearing my newspaper scrap as her dress, which I think looks smashing!  What do you think?

This canvas is for a friend who fell in love with this little piece of drip paper while in my studio yesterday.  Custom orders come to me in the most delightful ways, so thank you, creative friend!  ❤
